I am back and reading my comment above this one after 6 years. I rewatched the film tonight and my pov is still exactly the same. The last storyline was the only decent one, and I couldnt recall much of the film viewing it a 2nd time tonight. Sadly I have not read any of the collections even though I kept the screenshot of the titles that were posted on this thread all this time. Life goes real fast and poof its 6 years later.
Yes true story. The crimes were so brutal
With such a strong cast I was a bit let down. It was almost an after school special. Also, how appropriate was an older man befriending a 17 year old, allowing her to be alone with him and drive his car? It just was too sappy for these established actors. I wont remember it in a few weeks and its a shame because had they steered clear of the house parties, and the unrealistic parts, it wouldve been a hit.

I thought the scene of her pregnant was a flashback to Lamine... I didnt realize she had a baby with Malik.
The movie was great in the beginning but started to fade fast. I wouldve like more on the dysfunctional couple instead of all the supernatural stuff.
Try Animal Kingdom..That was a fabulous series with Ellen Barkin
I did that with yellow jackets. I didnt like it. They ruined it by being so non credible..
I pushed thru and although the series wasnt the best, I found her acting quite good. I know her from Modern Family so this is a far cry from that character.
Because Sophia is a bombshell so they wanted to age her and harden her look.
