Live Action: (new favourite) Kurt Caldwell, Dexter New Blood (old) The Kurgan, Highlander Voice Over: Mr Krabs, SpongeBob About time he got nominated for a bigger award than Fangoria Chainsaw Awards... nothing against Fangoria but an Emmy would be nice. or Crispin Glover I hear ya mate. Amongst the most influential visual artists in cinema, especially in the sci-fi genre, Syd Mead, H.R. Giger and Moebius (Jean Giraud) have always stood out. Now they're all gone. Mead and Giger both worked on Alien and Moebius crossed Mead's path on Blade Runner. Mead started out as an industrial artist in automotive industry and his work is so unique that an eclusive job title, Visual Futurist had been coined only to describe him and no one else. His books, Oblagon and The Movie Art of Syd Mead are my prized possessions. It almost sounds contradictory but his 'industrial art' gives me a feeling of strange serenity. RIP, Visual Futurist. For a second I thought this profile pic was of Rupert Grint Hey Dude is an actual song by Beatallica (from their 2007 album Sgt Hetfield's Motorbreath Pub Band). I reckon neither Boyle, Curtis nor their production partners knew about this. I expected more from Boyle too, this is very bland as fantasy-comedies go. Lone Wolf and Cub (aka Shogun Assassin). The most obvious one. I swear they even carbon-copied scenes from that classic samurai/ronin series. I couldn't agree more about the generic hand thing. In the last You're Fired/Hired episode, Sugar gave high praise to Tom Allen's work but I for one enjoyed Rhod Gilbert more. Jack Dee (of whom I'm a huge fan) could be called the 'George Lazenby of Apprentice You're Fired' since he only did one series. He can't stand either, what a coincidence. My thoughts exactly. TBH I couldn't care less about any of the Doscovery characters. I was getting bored with their messiah complex that puts Bono and Bob Geldof to shame. Only the presence of Jason Isaacs and Anson Mount kept me from stop watching the show. As for this version of the Enterprise, Anson Mount and Rebecca Romijn (as Numero Uno) alone exude charm and charisma bigger than the entire Discovery cast members combined. The late Jeffrey Hunter and Majel Barrett would be prouf of them. Too bad the series is not about them. What do you mean? Negan has always been a good guy. Sweetness, I was not joking when I said I wanted Negan to smash every tooth in more people's heads... and yes, I know I've got no right to take my place with the human race. As reboots go, this is one of the good ones. There were so many 'Iron Giant' moments that I lost count but that's a good thing cos that film is a classic. Besides, Hailee Steinfeld is a way more talented actor than Shyan LaBeef and her character more engaging and has a charming love insterest whereas LaBeef's only interest was augmented boobs. Featuring the Smiths instead of them 1980s hair bands is definitely a plus... actually the film made me feel magnanimous enough to forgive Bon Jovi and Sammy Hagar in the playlist. Worse. Compared to this, Kevin Costner's American speaking one is Lawrence of Arabia. If you wanna watch an action show with people wearing machine-stitched modern wardrobe, you'd be better off watching Blindspot on telly. Otherwise, I'd stiick with Robin Hood with men in tights. Me three. That's the only reason I looked this up here to see if anybody else thought it was Annie Lennox. I know what you mean but I was a little kid, every grown woman looked fit to me in those days. Right. The Man Who Fell to Earth is one of my eight desert island films. Insignificance and Eureka are underrated gems. R.I.P. This is the kind of film that makes me hate the human race even more than I have ever imagined I could. I'm so happy to KNOW that from the UNIVERSE's vantage point, the human race is already extinct. A cross between Jeremy Renner and Nathan Fillion IMO This reminds me of Whoopi Goldberg doing her Golden Raspberry-winning 'classic' Theodore Rex. They told Chiwee he's too handsome to play Chewie in Star Wars so he's doing this instead Thank You Adolf! 'Hope and Glory (1987)'
