How do I reply to a specific person? Anyways, just wanted to let you know you can import your list, if your ratings are only thing keeping you., No, only because I rate everything I watch there. It's my way of archiving everything. I'm thinking of importing the list to TMDB though. I think for a VERY long time I'm going to continue to scroll to the bottom of the page after rating a movie or show as I've done for the past 12 years, forgetting they are gone momentarily. It's just one of those regular things. Kind of like trying to turn on a light switch if the power goes out. It's basically autopilot. I know the feeling. Although I never gained any significant friendships through IMDB over the years (posting since 2005) I did always enjoy the discussion and it was a regular part of my film-watching experience. I feel like a small part of myself has been deleted, wiped from existence. I've been through this before with a site called BlogTv, which was a little worse frankly. I made significant friendships there and one day *poop*, all gone. That's the thing about putting stock into online relationships, you can wake up one day and it's all gone. Someone could die and you wouldn't know otherwise. It's kind of sad, so I feel really bad for those who did have long-term friends on the site. Someone sent me a PM apparently at the very last moments of the boards, and never got the chance to read it. Not a huge deal but the curiosity is bugging me. I was in the middle of a heated debate but we found some common ground, so I'm assuming it's from that person, but I'll never know. I don't like this subtext of it being deleted due to trolling. There were some trolls like any other sites. But I often got in debates, sometimes heated, but for the most part they were always civil and respectful. View all replies >
