He may have unconsciously created the scenario he wanted. I think clinical depression may belong in your diagnosis of his pathologies; so, yes, he got what he deserved. I infer from what you say that he was socially isolated (and someone who lives online IS socially isolated), so there was no chance that a friend could have intervened and gotten him the therapy he apparently needed. The result was inevitable.

“It” is a pronoun describing an object, not a person. “They” and “their” is a pronoun applied to a group of people. “Each” is singular and must be paired with a singular object; I prefer “her or his.”

Always a pleasure to refer friends to wonderful music. Can you believe that Jimi’s career spanned only 3 years?! If you find the album Monterey Pop, buy it. On the LP, 1 side is Otis Redding, the other side is Jimi. It was his birth as a star. As the liner notes on the LP said, “When he walked on the stage, he was a rumor. When he left it, he was a legend.” Among other things, he plays The Troggs’ Wild Thing.
