I think a more likely scenario is selling advertising on the site, rather than selling/shutting down the site. Well, that and donations.

That is why I really hope this site gets a redesign sooner rather than later.
but if this site grows, i'm fairly certain that the owner of this site will become a company. :p that is the nature of business.
this is interesting, but I'd rather NEVER go back to IMDB...The Movie Database and Wikipedia has all the information that IMDB has. I'd prefer to give them my site visits, rather than IMDB who don't care about their users.
Well, i'm not worried about the archived posts from IMDB...I'm more worried about the LOOK of this site being identical to IMDB.
Okay, but my whole point is to avoid it getting to that by branding this community as a unique NEW place for film discussion.
The trade dress of this site is CLEARLY copied from IMDB.
And, as I have mentioned in the original post, there are forums clearly marked IMDB on this site.
