I love the awful line delivery when Pat the bartender is trying to get his job back and he says, "You see I'm staying, and YOU'RE going!" John Doe got a bit better as an actor later on (loved him in Roadside Prophets) but that part always makes me laugh. This is my favorite line too. Anytime my husband and I have a chance to say something that even rhymes with cones in the way Sammy did, we do. Like at the bakery: "They were scones!" Agreed. I remember when the movie came out I was looking forward to seeing her in 80s hair and then was disappointed when she had that weird bob flip thing that no one would have had in 1985. But there are lots of weird timeline things, like the brother-in-law watching a much older episode of Dallas when J.R. was shot. Doesn't stop this from being one of my favorite romantic comedies, but it is weird. I wonder why they stopped using Hastings, Japp, and Miss Lemon. Did the show change writers over time? Funny you should ask! I've actually become obsessed with the series and have watched an episode almost every day. I usually use Britbox because the earlier episodes are better. Some I've watched several times, but a few I haven't gotten around to. I even got my 13 year old son into the show. Unfortunately, since the trolling got so bad I haven't used this site to post as much as I did in the beginning. I saw the new theatrical film too and it was enjoyable, but not in the way that I'll watch it over and over like the show. He had to be because of the way his mom made a big deal about not telling anyone where the physicals came from. I just saw the episode today on WE and came here looking for discussions! It is a great show, different from the usual L&O formula. It was a condition of her getting promoted to replace Ross. My 13 year old was sitting on the edge of his seat almost the whole time, but then when he realized that I saw how immersed he was he had to act cool. After the movie he said he didn't like how they left some things unresolved and I told him he had better get used to it because now that Disney has made Star Wars a Christmas thing he is going to be taking his children to new Star Wars movies many years from now. Count me in on the Poor Pretty Eddie train too. That bar where the dancing took place was just like the bar in PPE, just a filthy room with tables and too much lighting. Then there was a dog (or in Calvaire's case "dog") rape subplot in each movie and people being forced to sing. I hope you like it! I'm a big fan of UK crime shows too. Mushrooms will last longer if you store them in a paper bag instead of the container they are packaged in. Salads will keep for a week or more if you store them in mason jars. You put the dressing on the bottom and then some thick vegetables on top of that and lettuce goes on top. Or just don't put the dressing in the jar. I've been bingeing Scott and Bailey on Hulu this week. If you like cop drama this is a good one. More about the cops than the robbers. I'll be just as happy if it makes some sense, and we don't get Rabbits: The Showtime Series. He was "negging" her, and it worked, unfortunately. He was afraid of him because for all his tough talk, Bender was still just a kid, and not only that but a kid who was being abused at home. Sorry, I thought we were naming bad actors. I like it a lot, but I'm a fan of Italian horror. Nice to see it's getting a good release. It has floated around on public domain sets in the past. Julian Sands is pretty bad. I don't know about actors on message boards, but I do know that actor-turned-director Keith Gordon and actor Jim Beavers both wrote a bunch of movie reviews on IMDb, which I thought was neat because it's not like they were getting paid for it. They work in movies, but still love movies enough to spend their free time posting reviews on IMDb. Of course, neither of those dudes are A listers, so it's like others said, you would have to be lesser known to bother with something like that.
