They let a demon out of the theater when they run in to get away from the cops. It's because of them the demons spread all over the city. I don't remember this one but there was plenty of box art that did scare me as a kid. I would love to find a VHS copy of Disconnected because it's probably rare now! It is now, as of yesterday. Love it! It's about time for a popular movie to win Best Picture again, so maybe. Reason To Believe I Don't Wanna Talk About It The First Cut Is The Deepest Will do! Thanks. Tisa Farrow kicks ass in that, completely different character than I was used to seeing her as in Zombie. It's really good. I'm not even a big fan of cannibal movies, but that one is worth a watch. It reminded me of the jump scare when the blind woman jumps screaming out of the big pot of water in Antropophagus more than anything. I know that sounds weird, but it's exactly the kind of thing Tarantino would pay homage to. I have ended up rewatching the series, or am in progress. Agreed about Frost and Shirley. In the two part episode with the car thieves at Christmas they were good together! I just watched the final season for the first time and came here to see if anyone else was bothered by this. I never understood why George was so underappreciated in the first place...Frost had a revolving door of partners on investigations and good old George filled that space when Clive or Wonder Woman or the guy played by that actor who played Inspector Japp wasn't there, but really to me George was as big a part of the show as Mullett and Frost. Maybe it was a plot device to make Frost retire. Anyway, it was too sad. The character deserved better. I love the show and have watched my way through the whole thing in the last year and halfway through again but not every episode has the rewatchability factor and I guess the finale is one of those for me, much as I like Phyllis Logan. Did you end up getting into it? I am watching it now on Hallmark Now on Amazon. I had forgotten how lovable Michael Landon was. Somehow I missed this show in the 80s but I remember him well from Little House. Highway to Heaven is the kind of positivity I need in my life right now. I'm struggling with illness now and just watched this film for the umpteenth time and I feel uplifted for one of the few times after a crappy three months of doctors and hospitals. He might save mine too. Need to find a list of other films like this. I felt compelled to sing along. It was a nice scene. They just put this on Shudder recently so I watched it again today. I must have seen it 15 times back when it first came out on VHS, and the supernatural mystery stuff impressed me at the time, but watching it today I was really hit by the brutality of the bridge scene. I also wanted to cry like OP. I'll admit I'm a big fan of hocus pocus and ghosts but the supernatural part doesn't hold up for me after not having seen this for many years. That bridge collapse, though...nightmare city. Sad scenes in horror are the worst. Also, it's funny but I never noticed before that Richard Gere's character was such a "close talker" with everyone, even Gordon when he was still hostile because Klein was apologizing after the first (or the third) night of showing up at his house. The man pulls a shotgun on you and the next day you're all up in his face! Does Gere get close and whisper to his scene partners in all his movies? It made me uncomfortable. But I'm one of those people who needs a lot of space, so maybe I'm projecting. Finally, somehow I never noticed how good looking Laura Linney is. I knew she was a good actress, I've always liked her in everything, but wow! I'm watching season 4 episode 9 and this one has to be fake. The mother is a paranormal investigator who doesn't believe her son is possessed until she sees deep claw marks appearing all over him right before her eyes, but of course there are no photos of this happening to the actual kid, just the reenactment actor. Hell yeah I did! I pretty much got obsessed with it! I even have my ringtone set to the Poirot theme. I keep rewatching the first six seasons, but I'm slowly working through the later ones. I'm up to the one with Tim Curry now, Appointment With Death. I'm going to finish the series but I noticed I have to get season 13 on Acorn through Amazon instead of Acorn's standalone site. It's so weird how they have them all broken up on different sites. Nice to meet you! I'm looking forward to finding another marathon like they were showing, but may start buying some seasons if they only show it at 10 AM. Hopefully we will find some stuff to talk about. I just became a fan of Matlock this week when I resubscribed to DirecTV now and found them marathoning it on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Watching the first episode of season 7 (The Vacation) right now, something absolutely amazingly ridiculous just happened with about 30 minutes left to go, and I needed to find other people online who like this show! I'd always heard it mocked for being for old people, but it is damn entertaining. This episode is the first with Daniel Roebuck and with the older daughter. You are right in that there's not much online; most episodes don't even have reviews on IMDb! Let's get some more discussion on this board. Edit: Now they're showing the pilot from 1986 and it's much less campy!
