I love the way Bogie says it. Three schwallows, no more. Everyone gets three schwallows. I do not believe it was an act. He was asked twice by Pat O'Brien to play the coward to help the kids stay off the wrong path and both times he refused. But the priest, his boyhood friend was also giving him an out to save face. He had taken that walk before with other tough guys and they all broke down and he knew Cagney would as well. Yes he was a tough guy, but at that point when the realization hits him about his end, his death, the electric chair, he loses his composure. This show is a horrible disgrace. Sure it's still Dan (sort of) but the writing is terrible, the acting is terrible, the laugh track is terrible. Part of the problem is you can't write edgy jokes in today's TV world and so it's hard to be funny when you are handcuffed and censored. Melissa Rauch can't carry a show. While it wasn't a bad idea, you can't just put stereotypes into a cookie cutter set/ TV format and have it work. You need real writing and real actors. This show is like a bad high school play. Yes. The states way of keeping the citizens happy, and in their control. The Brain Center at Whipples Hate Kick the Can. Used to like The Invaders, but she is just chewing the scenery the entire time. It's too much. I thought they were dead. But remember, she calls her mother on the phone, and the mother is alive. So I guess those other people are alive except The Hitch Hiker. There's zero chemistry between the 2 leads, and Abishola is unlikable. Kemi or even Abish. aunt are much more likable characters. I never knew what Speed was saying, other than FORFEIT! FORFEIT BY GOD! And Chick is saying USE EM! USE EM! So I put the closed caption on, and Speed calls them "palmers". Pettibon did not have the gun it was his buddy. So later when they break the window and distract their attention, Chaney knows who has the gun and he takes it off him. Good physique, but he was a smoker and got out of breath very quickly, and they had to do the fight scenes in very small parts, because he got winded quickly and easily. I appreciate the fact that they seem to be playing the episodes intact. When they used to show the stripped down versions there was so much important material missing, I couldn't watch. I always advocated using a 35 minute format, so they could show 6 shows in their entirety in a 7 half hour block. And it seems they are doing something like that. Of course one of the best parts of the marathon were the running threads at IMDb and I miss that. They really messed up a good thing removing the message boards. Happy New Year Zoners. I mean, you can't tie people's hands and force them to be PC. Comedy is not funny that way. Comedy comes from original ideas, and they aren't always PC. When you take that away, it's not funny anymore. The guy was the star the first season. Now she is the star and he is barely a minor character. No one wants to watch a show about a retirement home. However they do have a number of good people. Ben Vereen, Jane Seymour, Hector Elizondo, Linda Lavin. One problem is there's no more dialysis group which was the best part of Season 1. Her getting all this money was a terrible plot contrivance, and buying the retirement home is hackneyed. Twilight Zone The Flintstones Mary Tyler Moore Columbo Seinfeld Northern Exposure Alfred Hitchcock Presents All in the Family Batman Star Trek TOS The Untouchables The Odd Couple There used to be a lot of good shows. NYPD Blue Cheers LA Law House Sanford and Son Outer Limits Barney Miller Hill Street Blues SNL Carol Burnett Show Ed Sullivan The crap that is on now is a disgrace. If Chelsea was so wealthy (she owned 3 buildings) why does she live in some dingy apartment, in some crummy part of town? It's losing steam fast. The kid is just annoying. The older brother is very good. In the version that is not edited, when they get to dry land, there is a plaque on the ground that says something like here is Mt. Everest that Edmund Hillary was the first to climb to the peak, whatever.
