There are WAY too many flashbacks. This ruins the pacing. Every single flashback should have been a part of the story in chronological order, instead of making us sit through a literal table of people each telling their story.
Could you imagine if Star Wars Episode 4,5, and 6 had flashbacks throughout? Good grief.
They gotta get back Don Davis for the soundtrack, then this will be ACE.

I'm pretty much agreed! I think I'll wait till the rest of the season is finished before continuing past episode 3, I don't have the patience to wait week by week anymore for the slow burn.

Locke is awesome, what little we did see of the Major General impressed me, can’t wait to see Jadis back, and perhaps some updates on Portland.
Good episode, but the one that follows is back to the same old useless filler.
They did the Fall of Reach in a single episode. Good grief. Something like that could have been an entire season of television, instead they just skip right over it. Lame.
Season 2’s second half is brutal to watch, and gets worse each time I do. The whole Cyprus Recording baloney, ousting a President because he doesn’t go to war on a lie, and not trusting Jack Bauer who literally just saved Los Angeles is ridiculous writing. It sucks because Season 2’s first half is some of the best of 24.
Agreed. This is a film that you can watch on an iPhone and you'll get just as much out of it as if you were at IMAX or a 50-100" home TV screen. The film is all about the dialogue, and the trinity test explosion was a huge letdown anyway...
If life had an Achievement System like most video games we know and love, she would have the highest score.

First half 7/10, decent pacing.
Explosion weak, not worth the story payoff ‘destroyer of worlds’.
Second half 3/10, pacing too accelerated and music loud and unfitting for political theater.
I enjoyed Rebel Moon and Leave the World Behind more than this.

It was probably an alliance of Russian, Chinese, Iranian, and North Korean, who have everything to gain by taking the US out of play.
