How do you know it's his glorification? It may be more nuanced than you think.

shareViolent thug? Fred Hampton never hurt or attacked anyone. His only real offense was having the courage to stand up to a violent police state(which he was executed for).
shareIn 1968, Hampton was accused of assaulting an ice cream truck driver, stealing $71 worth of ice cream bars. He was convicted in May 1969 and sentenced to two to five years in prison.
shareGlanced at the trial summary. Hampton's defense was that he wasn't even there at the time of the theft and that just after the robbery, the cop and approached him with the victim and asked him if Hampton was the guy. A move like that would instantly get a case thrown out today.
