Wait a minute?!!! Isn't there still a large portion (~25%) of the gold missing?!

The team starts out with 5 Backpacks maybe equally split full of gold. David at one point has half of his Dad's share which then gets boosted to a full share when Eddie is killed. Now the gold is evenly divided across four backpacks? After Seppo's death the group decides to give Hedy and Simon $1 Million and Vinh is promised an undetermined amount.

Paul abandons his backpack (25% of the total haul) to Norman in the jungle. Quan asks Paul where the Gold is and Paul tells him that Norman took the gold. What I couldn't figure out was why Desroche asked Otis if Hedy had Norman's share? There's a backpack stuck in a tree in the jungle not too far from where Paul is buried in an unmarked grave.

Well here's my real head scratcher. Paul states that each bar is $45,000 per bar and the total haul is $17,000,000. That would have been roughly 378 bars of gold??!! I'd say that the group was carrying half that many bars at best based on the view of the trunk of gold. Each layer was 33 bricks and maybe 6 deep?

My head hurts, lol

No kidding.

If an American Airlines flight with a crew of 6 and a passenger list of 112 travelling at an airspeed of 600 MPH, with a crosswind SW to NE, going due north, crashes at night on the border between the USA and Canada; where would they bury the survivors?

ha, the classic trick riddle....

Familiar with this but first heard it said out loud. I think if you read the word "survivor" it stands out more. Impressive observations r/ tree gold in your other post.

You'd be surprised how many people don't make that connection because of the irrelavent other data. 😎

The other point is how much of this movie gets lost in the distractions that people create for themselves by focusing on trivialities or coincidences.

But that is true for most films in this day of the message boards and need for social media relevancy by "Media Influencers".
