No. Because we mostly see everything from Viruca's eyes. But, I remember her saying that they had to 'break up' to make it believable to Tomas.
PS: The son was a moment of weakness, essentially written into the script to provide a 'wrinkle' to her plans with Tomas.
They didn't try to portray her as an angel or anything, hell, she was also a cokehead.
I am not sure what you are arguing about. [shrug]
Besides, the show turned out to be pretty much a waste of time.
