So I'm watching this on Hulu...

And I realize that some people are just "good ole boys" who don't want to get involved but WTF was up with that farmer named Archibald?!? He's driving to the next town, witnesses a girl laying on the road, with her bike strewn nearby, a brown van just ahead of her (like it had struck her) and a man standing over her and smiling.

And what did he do? He just drove his truck on by the scene and kept going.

In the interview, his explanation sounds more like an excuse than anything else. He states "I thought, well it looks like this guy has whatever happened handled," and so drove on by. He follows up by saying that when he got to the next town, he called the paramedics about what he saw.
I'm really disgusted by this guy. He finishes by saying [and note this remark]that maybe if he'd pulled over, he might have ended up in the back of that van. And he kind of chuckles about it.

Wow... simply, wow. What a guy!

It's just a maddening documentary. The 'aw shucks' kind of attitude displayed by a lot of these people in this border states area is head scratching. It's like watching Andy Taylor from Mayberry try to solve a homicide.

Oh and don't get me started on the Wilfred Brimley look-alike husband of the lady sheriff, who's the focus of the documentary. He needs to go hock some oatmeal! Focus on the cases, don't get commentary from the spouses or other family members of those investigating the cases. I don't need you to tell me how "tough" she is.
