The point at which I began to lose interest... (spoilers)

I lost interest when the humans developed psychic connections to the Boston Dynamics dogs, perhaps because it was such a familiar science-fiction trope.

I have to admit I was unimpressed with the mechanical dogs altogether. You figure this is there main effort of a whole civilization to go to Earth and invade, and those dogs are all they can manage to design? They can kill humans with no weapons just some EM signals, but they need these dogs without good vision, and no manual dexterity? Ridiculous.

In science fiction I hate psychic aspects of science fiction ... I don't believe it in it, and the first time they go that way to me it ruins the whole movie.

I actually like the dogs, and they seem more plausible as the story goes on.

I have to disagree with that. When you see the "dogs" are too small and have no hands, or teeth do anything, they are ridiculous. There are also all kinds of discrepancies with the dogs, like ammunition clip size and power supply.
