In the toilet for 9 minutes
The movie implied this was kind of cheating. But how? They both have equal rest times, how did it help her opponent?

shareIced her
shareWhat does that mean?
shareIn sports, if a player is hot. The opponent will try to cause a delay to try to cool them off.
They also do this in football when a kicker is about to kick a field goal, the other team will call a time out to try to ice him.
I have heard this term in football. Makes sense in this tennis case with that momentum building but why is it called "icing the kicker" if the kicker is on the sidelines and cold to begin with and not playing on the field until the moment they are to kick the goal?
shareYou call the timeout just as the play is about to start.
shareIt's not exactly cheating, but in tennis, especially on the women's side, it has become a problem the last couple of decades. They're allowed 2 bathroom breaks, but often players take breaks when they're losing to break their opponents' momentum and regroup. It's all legal. There's been much discussion about this problem but nothing has been done.
shareThere's a 5 min time limit now.
