I liked it, but here's what I didn't like

Overall I liked the film a lot. But the things that annoyed me was the worship of material wealth and the runtime of the movie. It felt much longer than it needed to be. The runtime was 2h25m, same as Respect which I saw in theaters a month or so back. Respect moved much quicker, maybe because for King Richard I paused it a couple times to get my laundry or get another drink/food.

But it was kinda annoying how they go to this ultra ultra wealthy community and just kinda worship it like it felt like rubbing it in the face of people watching. Richard saying "look at this home" "where would you be if not for me"

Obviously their circumstances were different because they lived in Compton during the 80s and 90s which was no place to raise children but idk it just happened quick that they were first criticizing the elites and then they were sitting at the same table as them as if that was the best place to be. I can understand it totally but to me it just kinda rubbed me the wrong way.
