Casting news and Atwell's possible role

A casting report states that a character Rollin Hand (callback to the original 60s series) will appear and they are looking for a well known actor 20 years older than Cruise to play the role. Hand is described as “An international type. Former IMF agent. A legendary ex-agent. Needs to be able to handle physicality.”

Next is Paris (another reference to the 60's show Great Paris Leonard Nimoy), Hand's protege. He is 25 years old. Leading man. Any ethnicity. A criminal with unique abilities.” Similar to Hand, it has not yet been announced who will portray the character. Could that be Nicholas Hoult?

Finally, Hayley Atwell’s character will also be a protege to Hand, Lambert (Dana Lambert from the original TV series?). She is a contemporary to Paris and is written as tough and physical.
