Well, she said that she loved Michael as a dear friend.
And also that she was curious what Michael and her son were actually doing, when they were in their room.
So she listened at the door and heard them playing or reading.

Shouldn't that say, she did not recognize anything strange going on??
And than when Michael died, she was dancing out of happiness.
