Well... It's interesting... And for sure NSFW

Definitely be aware you can't watch it around children or at work!

I watched them all in one go. I really liked Ice Age!

reply

I watched the first four shorts, great stuff! The animation is gorgeous. I'll check out the rest later.

I'm curious what order it put the episodes in for you. My friend and I both had the episodes in a different order. My first episode was Beyond the Aquila Rift.

I'm wondering if they are showing up in random order. Some episodes are pretty... interesting haha. So some people might be put off the show depending on which ones they see first.

Sonnie's Edge was the first for me too and the episodes are in the same order as listed on imdb.

reply

So odd. My friend's first episode was Sonnie's Edge also.

I checked Netflix on my phone and it's in the same order I had on my Apple TV.

reply

My first episode was also Sonnie's Edge.

Speaking of which, I was a bit confused by the ending. Apparently the woman's body was destroyed, but not her.
Is she actually Sonnie?

reply

It seemed like she was either in the monster or inside a machine.

Seems they had the technology to transfer consciousness!

reply

So do you think she was inside the monster? That was what I inferred.

I read an article about this. The notion was that one schedule was for gay customers...the other for straight customers. I found that theory kind of silly...but there you have itπŸ‘

reply

Makes sense

I watched the fifth short "Sucker of Souls". First one I didnt really like. But that's mostly because of the rough and cartoonish animation.

reply

I agree.

😎

reply

That's interesting. For me, Beyond the Aquila Rift was number 7.

😎

reply

Apparently they screwed with the episode order on purpose, as I suspected.

Good to have confirmation, thanks!

reply

You're welcome. More outside the box thinking there.

very well executed production, too much nudity and violence tbh

reply

I watched a bunch before my girlfriend woke up and I started telling her how good it was, and then of course all the weirder episodes started playing. She didn't care for the show at all!

reply

most women would not like this show

reply

This is true. Too much nudity, sex and violence. Of course that puts it right up most men's alley.

😎

reply

I don't mind the nudity or violence, as long as the episodes are well written and well done. And so far, they have all been so,
with the possible exception of Sucker of Souls.

😎

reply

Yep! I've watched the first seven, and it's more than interesting. It's fascinating. A ground breaking series imho.

😎

reply

Nice! What's your favorite episode so far?

reply

Sonnie's Edge, Three Robots, The Witness, and Beyond the Aquila Rift. How about you?

Speaking of which, did it seem to you that all ships entering the portal in Aquila Rift were being diverted to that
"hell hole:, or was it just some of them? And where and what was the hell hole?

Also in Sonnie's Edge, was the woman really Sonnie? They mumbled something about her body being destroyed,
and then I didn't quite catch what they said next.

reply

I liked Suits and Ice Age the most for some reason. I liked some others, but I keep thinking about those 2. I liked Sonnie's Edge also. Reminded me of Pokemon.

I think it was just some of the ships, and it was just an unlucky place to be.

Seemed like Sonnie's conscience was transferred into a machine or directly into the monster.

reply

So was it transferred into a machine or into the monster?

😎

reply

Yes

reply

Which one? Are you messin' with me?

😎

reply

🀣

I'm not sure, but I remember them focusing on a speaker when she was talking during the big reveal.
So I believe that either she's in the monster, but used the speakers to communicate after her original body was gone, or she's in the machine and was able to control her old body and the monster remotely.

reply

Okay. Either scenario sounds possible, but I think scenario two is the more likely. What do you think?

😎

reply

I think I remember a line where Sonnie is explaining what her edge is, and basically it's that she is actually putting her life on the line every fight.

Based on that, I think she's in the monster

reply

Okay then. I have now swung over to scenario one.

BTW, what was the deal with Fish Story? Did they dream it, or did they actually travel back in time, or to another dimension or something? Or were they just messin' with us?

😎

reply

I haven't seen Ice Age yet. It's episode 16 for me. Apparently not everyone is seeing them in the same order.
That seems odd, but perhaps it's more of the producers' outside the box thinking.

Who watches netflix shows during work anyway?
