Very good, but 9.3?

I've only seen Three Robots (great) and Yogurt (good).

Why the 9.3 rating? The episode ratings are less. Many of the short 10* reviews seem fake.
It will hit 5000 votes later today and make the top 20.

I've only seen the first 4 episodes but it's very good so far, but yeah i think some of those reviews could be fake.

Only #26: https://www.imdb.com/chart/toptv

Not many reviews (only 2 on metacritic: 80&50).
Wired has a positive review: https://www.wired.com/story/love-death-and-robots-review/

I don’t pay attention to imdb rating, I always feel like RT has a more accurate rating for my tastes.

I’d give LDR 9/10 any day. I’ve nearly finished all the eps and this is such a great varied anthology. I even enjoyed the anti-British story written by a Mainland Chinese guy who seems to forget his beloved dictatorship has taken away democracy from Hong Kong (love it lol).

I'd say 8.5-9

that sounds about right.

Most of the shorts don't even qualify as stories, they're just premises. It seems like most of them are just an excuse to have an action scene (which make up the bulk of each short).

It ironically feels retro in its preoccupation with wanting to be cutting-edge. Covers for sci-fi novels from decades ago feature monsters, high-tech machines, and scantily-clad women and overly muscular men. It hasn't changed since then.

If it works, why change it?

I think some were left open for continuation. About half were totally three act stories...while others operate on the continuing loop platform.

Several episodes had no action at all...so I disagree that action made up the bulk of each story👍

It was like watching YouTube Top 10 SciFi Shorts: style over substance, lack of logic etc. ((

It's currently rated 9.1, and I agree with that. This is an excellent, and ground breaking series.
