Why do the teenagers on Netflix shows dress like aging hipsters?

The teens on Netflix shows like I Am Not Okay With This and Sex Education seem to be dress in outdated fashion, says Emily Alford. "It dawned on me that the Netflix teenagers are all dressed like they are going to a house party in Bushwick or a Beach Bunny concert at the Roxy in West Hollywood," she says. "And the most likely reason that Netflix teens are dressed in this particular seventies by way of 1996 style is that the millennials styling them are creating content to appeal to Gen Z without making Gen Y feel old. The obvious solution is splitting the difference and freezing high school years in a perpetual Clinton era where everyone feels comfortable. It’s not that Gen Z isn’t watching, it’s that they aren’t seeing themselves, according to my research."

And why do they walk down the middle of the road like idiots instead of using the footpath ?

reply

Well walking down the middle of the street isn't that far off. Go near any high school in America and you quickly realize that the parents in America forgot to teach their little fucking spawn to stay the fuck out of the street and or to even look before crossing a street.

Drivers in America must be patient people. Walk on the road in Australia and you're likely to get hit.

reply

You have to be patient or you'll end up in prison or at the very least bankrupted when the parents of the little idiot you hit sue you silly... Funny the parent never seemed to care enough to teach the little bastards not to play in the road, but as soon as they get hit they are screaming like a banshee - "My baby, ya killed my baby..." You see it all the time on the news when some little turd does get turned into worm food from doing something they shouldn't and which their parents should have taught them not to do.

In America the typical parents don't seem to give a shit about raising their kids they just expect society to look at for them instead.

Clutching at straws, man. Everybody's doing everything wrong.... for some reason. Jesus.

If you want TV to be accurate to your life, it would be nothing but whiny inconsequential dweebs complaining about shit like this.

So, you're saying that we are in a TV show?
