They hired a horror director and told him he could actually use his experience in this one, which would feature more horror. I'm sure they didn't like what he was actually wanting to do and he said fuck it and left.

On January 9th, the world learned that Scott Derrickson had dropped out of directing «Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness». Seeing as that was the ONLY phase 4 movie @AndreEinherjar was actually looking forward to, he finds that particularly disheartening.

In this editorial, he’ll go through why this happened as well previous times where it happened, such as with Edgar Wright on Ant-Man, and if this might have any wider implications.
