How did things end in the book?

And btw, was there any truth to that whole thing about Lindbergh's son, or was that just more of Evelyn's and Bengelsdorf's delusion?

I also don't understand how everything Lindbergh's wife asked for on the radio just happened - it was as if she had all the power and Wheeler had none. I find that unlikely.

Watch "The spirit of St. Louis" if you want to know the true Lindbergh.

Obviously I meant in the context of the show.

The actual Lindbergh was a Nazi sympathizer, I don't care to watch heroic movies about him.

Yes, the ending was just ludicrous whether it came from the book or the movie.

Okay, so the ending was brilliant.

The book had a cheesy "everything is great again" happy ending.

Because the TV show was reframed (ever so slightly) as a Trump parable, the cliffhanger ending served as a warning... "be careful America, you believe authoritarianism and fascism can never happen here... but it might."
