What a disappointment.

Bland, sentimental, shallow, sometimes eye-rolling. I haven't read the novel, but think it couldn't be this sophomoric. I was really looking forward to this series based on the great alternative history concept. But it had no depth or thoughtfulness. It was as if written by a zealous high school sophomore.
More of a cartoon, really.
