Excellent

Spoilers - look away now

I loved the first three episodes. We know Cassian Andor because we met him in Rogue One, so we jump right into the story of him fighting a solo battle against the Empire while trying to find his sister.

His actions lead to his formal recruitment into the Rebellion at the end of part 3.

Highlights - Andor's ruthlessness in killing that guard who tried to rob him.
- Adria Arjona's Brix is a some sort of wonderful
- The Scots accents- yay
- Kyle Soler's Syrill is a delight too.
Lowlights - the pacing is too slow. I know they've got two seasons to fill but fill it some more
explosions!
- There's no way Andor would have let Syrill live and the old Hollywood trope of tying
his hands and gagging his mouth, lame.

Enjoy, I did.

Yes, it was good. I enjoy the seriousness of it all, much like Rogue One. Good music, finally some new locations other than Tatooine desert. Ready for the next.

You're kidding, right?

reply

Why? Have you not watched the three episodes?

"fighting a solo battle against the Empire"

I must have seen a different Andor

reply

Very different. Open your eyes next time.

Nah, you need to stop hallucinating

reply

You watched Andor.

I can accept Andor sparing Karn provided he guns him down in cold blood later in the series.

This is an origin story of sorts about a guy who does bad things to bad people in the service of a better tomorrow that he probably doesn't believe he deserves

For now, though, he seemed to kill the Pre-Mor guard as a heat-of-the-moment decision. The idiot kept "offering" to arrest him peacefully, basically talking himself into getting shot as the only other alternative.

Now we'll get to see how he evolves into the Andor of "Rogue One," who has no problem killing when the need arises, or even when it's simply the most expedient solution.

His likely-to-be mentor, Luthen, is already that person, so the path has been laid out.
