An Okay film but ultimately added nothing (possibly spoilers)

So I watched this a few weeks ago, it was fine enough movie but mostly because it was like having a 2 hour throw back to Breaking Bad. in terms of story it added nothing of value to the story. The end sees Jessie in roughly the same thematic position as he was at the end of Breaking Bad, riding off into the sunset escaped from his 'prison'.

It was cool seeing the 'gang back together' and having a few flashbacks but overall, not a necessary film.

We know what happens to Jessie, after the series let that open

Exactly, the end of this film is the same thematically speaking as the series end; basically he gets away and that is it. El Camino is just like adding in unnecessary details of 'how' he got away. Sure those details were enough to fill in a 2 hour film with some nice through back moments. The acting and directing was good and it was nice having some nostalgic entertainment of the Breaking Bad years. but ultimately it added nothing and was relatively unnecessary to the story.

Well in honesty nothing is really necessary. Then again everything is, truly.

While true, the point I am making is to the story of Jesse and the completed arc of the series; the film adds nothing really substantial. Sure it is a nice way to kill 2 hours but it is not like you will get much out of it other than that.
