Will this work without Walter?

Won’t be the same without him

I can't imagine that they'll release this in theaters if it doesn't have Walter

Jesse Pinkman was such a lame character after, like, Season 1. Instead of having one nagging wife we had two. It's amazing that the show was as good as it was with such annoying characters like Skyler and Jesse

But yeah, no. I don't think it will work without Walter and Hank. I'm sure it'll get good reviews, as Vince Gilligan is a competent writer/producer, but good reviews from critics don't mean shit to members of a fandom

I binged the series and fast-forwarded through all of Skyler's scenes unless Walter was in it too.

reply

Don't worry he'll be in the flashbacks!

I'm not sure we need a movie. A miniseries showcasing how all the side characters moved on after Walter's death would be interesting but I am afraid this will over saturate things.

reply

It will, it did.

It'll work the same way as Mike does on 'Better Call Saul'. Flashbacks, or something like flashbacks. A technique which I usually despise but I trust Vince Gilligan to make it work.

Nothing will match Breaking Bad..(and BCS doesn't really do it for me either) but I was a fan of Jesse too and I trust VG to make it work.
I don't think he would have bothered without a good idea.

I have faith Vince will not let us down.

I certainly had my doubts about Better Call Saul, but that turned out to be an awesome show. I'm competent he can make this work, even if Bryan Cranston was the heart and soul of Breaking Bad.
