I wanted them to elaborate more about the Trench!!!

It’s so mysterious and anomaly that we can’t fathom! I wonder if (according what was mentioned in the movie) Mother Nature has a way of making it very “bright” under the deep surface. But, I think it’s pitch black down in the Trench.
