Rate the whole show outta 10

I gave it a 6-7. It's ok. I honestly loved the first half. But everything after Madripoor was so-so.

The second half was just so frustrating. They want you to hate John Walker but to "Sympathize" with Karli. Who's literally a terrorist. But don't call her that. Even people in her group don't call her out? C'mon now. The show was all over the place.

Zemo was one of the bright spots for me but he got taken out of the story. With the exception of the opening flight action, The fights were unimpressive & dull. The reveal of The Power Broker was anticlimactic af.

Also, I'm a sucker for inspirational speeches. From Captain America to Optimus Prime, President Whitmore & Stacker Pentecost to name a few. But Sam's speech at the end felt like it went on & on. Or was that just me? lol

Zemo is a fantastic villain. I was psyched when I heard he was coming back, because he might quietly be the best villain in the whole damn thing. But aside from being funny, he carried no real weight. And he's one of the best parts!

There's some humor, but nothing in this show worked for me. Everything you already said is completely and totally true. It's politics and morality are quite simply wrong, the action was boring, and nothing in this show wowed you.

2/10.

Zemo is genuinely in my top 3 villains. Along with Thanos & Killmonger. I was so freaking hyped for his return.

But hey, at least they didn't "ruin" his character completely. At least he hasn't compromised who he is or his believes by the end of the series. Hopefully, his next return is better handled than this.

Some good, some bad episodes, 6.5 out of 10, not as good as Wandavision.

Her people might not have called her out directly, but during her speech by the wire fence at the construction site where she said those in the armoured trucks might have to die and the flag smashers might have to die, but it didnt matter as the ideology would live on, the camera specifically went to the other flag smashers who were visibly not on board with what she just said.

reply

At least one of them should of spoken out in my opinion. At least create some conflict & show that they're not all on board with murder

But you got like the dude who Walker killed basically saying like she's the Captain America the world needs.

This show was just so frustrating

reply

I got the impression they thought speaking out was a bad idea, if she is prepared to die for their cause, will she kill those that are not fully engaged as she is?

Her idealogy at first and her reason for fighting is entirely something you can accept Steve Rogers would agree with, just not the execution of how she went about it.

reply

Oh, did her followers have a look? Please. Sam is all too eager to fight Walker, refuses to fight her, and carries her like he's a fucking angel and then proceeds to lecture politicians "Stop calling her a terrorist." This show is poop.

reply

Walker was not making the situation any better, Sam didnt want to fight her otherwise she ends up being a martyr for the flag smashers.

You have to remember that half the populationg have re-appeared and want things to go back to how they were, those that didnt get dusted had gotten used to a new and different life.

If Sam fights Karli and kills her, she gets to be a martyr for a lot of people that are now displaced.

Sam doesnt want her being branded a terrorist because its too simplistic a description, it makes no mention of why she is a terrorist, and yet there are likely MILLIONS who would agree with Karlis viewpoint, and Sam doesnt want the terrrorist inference to be passed to them, because now you have a situation where the flag smashers become a massive problem, that cant be solved.

reply

Like HELL that isn't why he wouldn't fight her. He carried her body like some fucking angel carrying a dead kid or puppy and then proceeded to lecture those mean politicians for calling her a terrorist; which she is to a T. Textbook definition of the word.

1 for Zemo, 1 for John Walker, 1 for the first action scene with Falcon. Everything else was junk, not even Star Wars Holiday Special quality. 3/10.

Overall: 5. Episodes ranged in quality from 2-7. I was bored for long stretches. The Flag Smashers are an underwhelming foe and the subplots were subpar. The high points of the season for me were Bucky and Sam’s personal chemistry, Zemo’s charisma and Sharon’s pulchritude.

reply

I was honestly bummed that Zemo wasn't the main antagonist. He's legit one of my favorite MCU antagonists.

Also agree on the flag smashers. They had something going with them but it just fell apart in the second half of the season. Still can't believe they want us to feel sympathy towards Karli. Even to the the end. Genuinely couldn't stand her. Especially towards the end.

It was a 2/10 for me. Nothing worked. The villains were half baked and shitty. The story was all over the place and the whole thing was just a dull mess.

Falcon's new suit at the end was absurd.
