Did Disney choose Falcon to be Cap so...

...when fans point out he doesn't have super soldier strength, they can reply "Waycist! Fans so waycist and toxic! America so waycist!"

reply

He appeared to me to be superstrong and all ...

but yeah, you are waycist :D

reply

It's the suit and the wings. Sam himself has no super strength or superhuman durability.

reply

No human can withstand the force of those blows, suit or no suit. No human can throw a shield with that force AND no human can catch the shield back after being thrown with such force.

And that was hilarious with WS: he stopped the brunt of a hit from a steel bar with his hand. MAYBE his power arm/hand could stop that but the rest of the body (the parts that are not reinforced) would had been pulverized from the sheer strength.

You know, like pilots when under a lot of Gs ... the "suit" does nothing to protect them when their internal organs are melting into the spine ...

reply

How about when Sam stopped the Armored car from falling? Assuming the wings had sufficient lift, which they don't seem to have before, it's still going to crush his body to Jello under the shear weight.

reply

not quite, in that situation the suit would ... wait, he doesn't have a full powered suit like IM so yeah, you're right ..

The only people who use the term "waycist" frequently are actual racists.

reply

The only people who are actual racists are those who publically, performatively, try to point to others, other than themselves, as racists.

reply

Has anyone figured out what happens to Sam when he runs out of fuel on his jet. Realistic Sam should be dead by now.

reply

No they did it because it was done in the comics years ago.

reply

If there going go by the comics. Bucky was Captain America before Sam. Even the Punisher has had the Title of Captain America. Makes the title meaningless. Not everything done in the comics was good anyways.

reply

Fact still remains this was done in the comics and it raised the popularity of Falcons character.

Also in the comics it went to Bucky first because Cap died and knew Bucky would need an anchor to not fall back into being the winter soldier.

In this Cap was alive and aged, which was exactly what happened in the comics when he passed the mantle to Falcon.

reply

So what your saying is the only way to make sam popular is to piggy back on the popularity of white characters. Because Black characters are just too lame to be popular on there own. If you don't count Spawn and Blade.

reply

I agree just cause something happens in the comics doesn't mean it's good. Civil War was a terrible storyline. Captain Marvel and Kamala Khan are terrible. The last decade for Capt has been terrible, aside from stripping him of his shield one comic made him a Nazi.

reply

True. But that storyline bombed and they brought Steve back. That doesn't appear to be an option here.

reply

well, if it keeps bombing ;)

reply

They'll keep producing.

People don't seem to understand that at this point it's not about the money it's about the message.

They'll keep roping people in with what looks like good storylines and then undermining them with their Left-wing degenerate propaganda.

It's happening across the board in nearly every sector of the entertainment industry and some people are still too stupid to see what's going on.

It's not about curating stories that are entertaining, it's about inculcating people with their agenda.

reply

There hasn't been much in the way of messages in any of the MCU releases to date, and so far none have bombed. If they ever do try to put some kind of social or political message in one, I think it might lead to their first flop, but so far so good.

reply

so you don't watch MCU movies/shows?

good for you ;)

reply

I've seen everything they've put out so far. If you are reading politics into it, that's your own delusions at work.

reply

if you're not seeing the obvious politics and propaganda that's your own delusion at work ...

reply

If it's so obvious, enlighten us. All I see are shows grounded in reality, with characters who mirror our reality. If you think a black character acknowledging that there is racial tension in the US is politics and propaganda, you need to invest in a dictionary.

reply

When 6 episodes are focused on that, yes, it is propaganda.

A black character acknowledging the racial tension once or twice during the show it's ok

Shoveling it nonstop is not ok and becomes propaganda.

And if you are talking about dictionaries i would suggest you to read the definition of propaganda (hint: propaganda doesn't pertain only to false narratives).

reply

Well said.

Sadly a lot of people have already been brainwashed to think that the propaganda being put out by Disney is "normal".

More and more people seem to think that the agenda is okay because they're being inculcated to think that it's okay.

Captain America does NOT have super powers.!!

reply

Steve Rogers and Bucky were given SUPER soldier sirum, Falcon was not.

reply

according to stan lee it wore off years ago.

reply

Link?

reply

It was in storyline when the US was going through a severe anti drug phase, mid 1980's I think. Someone thought Steve's portrayal made him out to be like a drug user so they removed it from his system.

reply

No mention of the serum wearing off in the movies or live action tv show means it didn't wear off.

reply

He’s lost and regained it a lot over the years. He’s been more or less superhuman for most of his 80 years of existence.

reply

Stan Lee was sadly in the midst of severe dementia. He said a lot of crazy things. He even once said he liked Donald Trump.

reply

half the country likes Trump.

reply

That just makes me respect Stan even more.

reply

A black Captain America doesn't make any sense.
