You can't judge a film without seeing it!

Sorry folks, but you can't judge a film without seeing it. So stop it. Stop with your outrage and petitions. If you don't want to see the film, don't watch it. This is an award winning French film directed by a woman that got positive reviews from people who saw it, so I'm going to give it a chance.

reply

How about you stop with the condescension. Seeing the film means supporting it. Maybe we don't want to support it. It's not about whether the film crosses over the line. Why does it even need to get so close to the line? I don't need to see and parse every little ambiguity in order to know that any level of sexualising little girls just gets a big fat NO from me.

reply

i watched the trailer and it was disgusting what kinda filth they are promoting to the young generation. i dont know why anyone would have to sit thru this whole satanic propaganda film just to say it is bad news. i saw how fucked up netflix was getting a couple years ago and canceled it long before it sunk to these hellish lows. fuck netflix and all the dumb sheeple who support it. if they do make any programming i am interested in i am gonna get it for free of the piratebay for moral reasons, dont want a dime of my money going towards the normalization of pedophilia

reply

No one is forcing you to see the film. If you don’t want to watch it, then don’t. But calling people names and trying to ban the film without actually seeing it is wrong.

reply

No. These things get into our culture and then we are all given no choice but to accept it. Film and tv are a route into culture. It needs to stay out. We don't want it here.

reply

It appears that the LGBT movement was a Trojan horse. It was never just about gay marriage, etc.

reply

yes.

there's something profoundly sick and malevolent about this indefatigable obsession that some factions of the media apparently have with pushing deviant sexuality.

reply

I agree with you to a point. People are upset about the marketing and the way the movie was being described by Netflix, though. I saw the poster and read the synopsis Netflix put out, and people are totally right to be disgusted.

Seeing the clips and reading about the movie, I have a feeling it's going to be similar to those old exploitation movies that would include some moral message to justify the movies existence and then would wallow in extreme violence and sex.

I'll hold off judgement though until its out.

reply

You can however judge the promo poster when you see it which is what people actually did.

Save your high horse for a winning battle.

This ain't it.

reply

Judging the poster is one thing, but demanding the film be removed from Netflix because of the poster is completely different. The poster Netflix used was in poor taste and they said it doesn’t accurately reflect the nature of the film. They removed the poster. People are still complaining and demanding that Netflix not release the film at all. That’s what the problem is and I stand by my original statement that you can’t judge a film you haven’t seen.

reply

pervert

reply

Except that the poster DID accurately reflect the movie, because they were wearing those outfits and doing those same poses and worse in the movie.

So objectively, you're wrong.

reply

I dont have any way of confirming that this picture is real.. who signed off on this?

reply

I believe people are overreacting. The director/writer- a black woman - said she was addressing a few different issues including the cultural contrast between hypersexualization of young girls and traditional Muslim culture, as well as polygamy and freedom.

She was shocked to see young girls twerking on stage while their mothers in traditional Muslim clothing watched and wanted to address it in a movie.

reply

lol liberals are the worst. its okay to make a pedo movie as long as ur a afro murican women

reply

She's not an "afro murican women ". She's French, Einstein.

reply

the point isnt were she is from, it doesnt matter were or who she is. all pedophiles and pedo normalizes are the same level of scum and dont have any place in this world. this movie sexualizes prepubescent girls, there is nothing more evil then that. no matter how black or womenish she is her sins will not be forgiven. the people are getting sick of this shit. the pedophiles will be paying the piper very soon just wait

reply

You're focusing on only one aspect of the movie because of the poster. Young girls are already hypersexualized in society which is part of the message of the movie that was witnessed by the director which lead her to write about it. Do you think ignoring it will make it go away?

The movie also focuses on immigration, polygamy and coming-of-age, sexism, female roles, freedom.

The Netflix poster was inappropriate and they should have stuck with the original French marketing.

reply

the trailer is just as messed up as the poster. girls have always been hypersexualized by the sick pedos running the media but they have never pushed these things this far before. these are pre pubescent girls for heavens sake not 15 or 16 years old which is still bad but not as satanic as this. this is some sick pedo normalizing propaganda. this is all part of the plan to rush the normalization of pedos. mark zuckerberg recently banned #savethechildren an anti pedo movement. "We temporarily blocked the hashtag as it was surfacing low-quality content,” wrote Dami Oyefeso, a Facebook spokesperson. they are trying to normalizing this filth and fighting back the people trying to expose this sick stuff. the people wont forget mark! u will pay!!

reply

You sound like Q-Anon.

reply

u should like a pedo defender

reply

Do you believe that there are lizard people controlling world governments?

reply

i believe ur a good for nothing pedo defender

reply

Keelai is a perverted pedo

reply

You're projecting.

reply

Keelai is a pedophile

reply

You're projecting ad infinitum, Jewoogle's sock puppet.

reply

Keelai is a child rapist.

reply

I take your lack of response to mean that you do believe secret lizard people are ruling the world.

You're the one obsessing about underage girls on various social media platforms and crying about being removed by Facebook for breaking community standards.

I notice every single one of your comments focuses solely on pedophilia. When a person is as obsessed as you are about pedophilia, it usually means that's what you're in to and you're trying to fight your desire for it. Seek help! T'es chelou.

reply

ur the one defending pedophilia u sick sorry son of a bitch

reply

"I notice every single one of your comments focuses solely on pedophilia."

Yet another one!
jewoogle doth protest too much, methinks.

reply

stop quoting yourself and go castrate yourself u pedo!

reply

Keelai forces children to wear masks while violating them

reply

You looney, far left, nut jobs seem to think ripping down statues, ignoring and trying to re-write history makes things go away.

reply

You're a troll

reply

Typical response from you when someone exposes you as the detestable hypocrite you are.

reply

You're still a troll

reply

And you're still a detestable hypocrite.

reply

If you cared about children, then you wouldn't have allowed them to be separated from their mothers or put in cages at the border.

If you cared about children, then you would care about the 2.4 million starving Yemeni children who are dying thanks to an arms deal between Trump and Saudi Arabia.

If you cared about children, then you'd care about making sure they have a healthy future by fighting global warming.

You are a hypocrite with your faux concern over a French movie you haven't watched, Q-Anon cultist.

reply

You don't care about anything. It's typical of your loony leftist ilk. False narratives. I don't give a rat's ass about this movie, which if you were paying attention, you'd have noticed, I haven't said anything about it. Global warming? Lol. If you or anyone else knows how to "combat" our planet's warming and cooling cycles, have at it. You apparently didn't care when Obama "put kids in cages". Why? It didn't fit your narrative. Orange man bad! That's all you got.

reply

"I don't give a rat's ass about this movie, which if you were paying attention, you'd have noticed, I haven't said anything about it."

Then, stay in the political forum where you belong.

reply

Are you kidding? I stay the hell out of that sewer, AKA your home. Go back.

reply

She should have made a documentary about it. Not exploit young girls.

reply

A documentary is cold and clinical. A film about the emotional turmoil of a girl distressed by her mother's treatment is powerful. She came very close to killing the other girl and wasn't too concerned. She was definitely on the brink. At one point, I thought she might commit suicide. The other girls were already lost and unhappy.

reply

You don't exploit children to make a case against child abuse. What is wrong with you?

reply

The movie wasn't about child abuse. Only people worldwide who are overreacting are a bunch of crazy Americans, like yourself, who haven't seen the movie.

reply

sorry pedo, kill urself

reply

Ok, Groomer.

650 auditions.

650.

reply

yes you can

reply

No you can't. Imagine if someone had never seen any of the Friday the 13th movies but wanted to ban them all because they claimed the movies promotes mass murder and the director must be a murderer and anyone who watches the films must want to kill everyone.

reply

hi pedo

reply

You’re an idiot.

reply

Friday the 13th is a fantasy movie; it doesn't inspire people to wear a hockey mask and butcher camp counselors with a machete in the same way that twerking pop stars influence and sexualize young girls. Furthermore, a young boy pretending to be Jason won't contribute to him ending up in a windowless van.
