Been on a no-TV cave for years... Any thoughts on this show?

I haven't watched TV in years and when visiting a relative I was surprised about shows like this popping up everywhere on TV.

Then there was this show about an indian kid singing loyally to his older indian 'prince' brother... then Moana was on.

Any thoughts about these apparently recent phenomena on TV?
