Episode 2 Even Better Than Episode 1

Amazing, really.

It's all quite meh. Looks like they should have made it a single movie.

Hard to fathom how anyone can think that, but we all have our own preferences. I'm a big fan of the fast-paced, witty dialogue, and have been enraptured by the depth of emotion and development we're getting from the characters. Plus, Hiddleston and Wilson are both such a joy to watch, and hear, and they play off one another beautifully.

I don't know how they could have crammed all of this into a movie. We've already seen nearly two hours, and there hasn't been even a minute that could have been trimmed. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier could easily have been edited into a film, but that seems impossible for Loki without losing all the impact.

Fast paced? It's, once again, trailer bait filler (the Pompeii scene for instance) and the millionth Deus ex delivery of clues leading to the "grand reveal" that was clear from the start. It's all a big trailer into Doc Strange 2. And Tom Hiddleston is just not ready to lead a movie.

reply

By your logic most of the mcu were just a big trailer for endgame, heck lotr 1 and 2 was just a huge set of fillers until the ring was dropped into the volcano. They should have skipped right to the volcano part

Some people like dialogue, plot, character development, and thought-provoking topics. Others want to see spectacle and grandeur. Clearly, he wants more exciting battles between super-powered beings while things explode. Neither is a better point-of-view.

reply

it was too convoluted. too technical about the minutiae of timelines

reply

I liked it, but Hiddleston is overdoing it. Big time!

reply

I agree, I wasn't sure after ep1, but am looking forward to more.
