I like how the Loki show works around Wokeness.

The most powerful TVA authority figures were examples of Woke casting, but the show presents them as assholes and shows one of them getting her comeuppance in a very humorous way.

So anything that isn't all white male is woke? I get why its necessary because it seems like people like you are not able to see beyond color.

reply

No. Anything that's deliberately and obviously done to "overturn stereotypes" is Woke. It's not the actresses of color in those roles that make me ill, it's the consciousness of how deliberately and calculatedly it was done that makes me puke. I picture the casting director patting shimself on the back and glowing with pride at how Woke and enlightened and brave shim was by making that choice.

reply

it seems like people like you are not able to see beyond color.

That's funny because it's people like you that insisted everyone focus on color in the first place, along with gender and sexual preference. Woke culture is literally all about that.

reply

Yeah. If the Wokies could see beyond color, the auditions for the new Black Panther would have a much wider pool of talent to draw upon, like all the previously white and male Marvel characters that have been Wokened.

reply

Gawd, I hate sharing a fandom with assholes like this!

reply

Don't worry. You don't have to go find a safe space. I only watch because of my kid.

reply

Eh, twerps like you are a small minority on the Marvel boards, most of the commentators there are sensible enough.

But they've really ruined some of the Star Wars boards, even though they understand nothing about what made the films so great. I think they just like the series because they identify with Luke, and that's just because he seems to be a male virgin.

reply

You thought all that through between COD marathons in your mom's basement, huh, Scooter?

The way you twerps imagine anyone who doesn't take a knee to Wokeness is beyond ridiculous. At least you didn't refer to my "double-wide trailer" and my "cousin-wife". That's fair enough. I won't bring up any of your hypothetical gender-fluid characteristics or neuroses.

reply

I think they just like the series because they identify with Luke, and that's just because he seems to be a male virgin.

The "virgin" insult? Are you a highschooler or something? 😆 By the way, Luke married a hot red-head (one of the most popular Star Wars characters ever) and had a son with her in the original canon.

But if you wanna play that way, then only "virgins" accept the new canon 😜

reply

To be fair, unlike non-Woke SF/comic fans, most of the Woke SF/comic geeks actually wouldn't technically be virgins because they would likely be open to experimenting with same-sex partners when women reject them.

reply

That's the thing though, leftist women insist that they don't need no man, and leftist men support that, yet they still use "virgin" and "incel" as insults.

So which is it? Are men and women encouraged to have relationships, or is it bigoted to think so? Leftist logic 😵

reply

All signs point to a push toward universal homosexual relationships with in-vitro pregnancies to perpetuate the species. Heterosexual relationships just carry too much baggage of the violent, oppressive patriarchy for those Woke enough to realize it.

reply

The books aren't canon, sorry.

And they aren't very good, most of them.

reply

Disney's Star Wars isn't very good, most of it. The Mandolorian is the only thing keeping it afloat.

And those non-canon books are still outselling Disney-endorsed books, and they already featured strong female characters as well as POC characters. Disney hasn't really broken any new ground there.

reply

The Mandalorian was wonderful indeed, but it's tainted now because they canceled Gina Carano. She was a highlight of any episode she appeared in. Won't be the same without her.

reply

They just seemed like typical government employees to me.

They just seemed like typical government employees to me.

Like I said... the show presents them as assholes.
