Really good adaptation...

Love the dialogue and the structure.

Looking forward to the final episode tonight. Ended on a great cliffhanger last night.

Yes it's familiar with Gatiss and Moffat's Sherlock tricks and it's fairly cheeky in that respect. But it's plenty of fun. And horrific when it needs to be too.

reply

Agreed, loved the time shift.

There are too many 'never-happy' crybabies always looking for faults.

reply

They are a bunch of pathetic assholes.

reply

Wow, really? People who do not share your opinion are pathetic assholes?
Do I have to point out the elephant in the room here?

reply

Who said anything about opinions?

reply

Never read the book have you? Its not in any way similar to the book or stageplay, so it can't really be classified as a good adaption but rather an imaginative take of Dracula.

The first two episodes were good, and Claes Bang and Dolly Wells were excellent but the less said about the dire third episode the better.

reply

I’ve read books that have been adapted for the screen and made considerable changes which improved the experience over its source material. Similarity is not a prerequisite to making a “good” adaptation.

If you want to play semantics go ahead. But shove your “never read a book, have you?” up your snooty arse.

What a childish response, I didn’t even state you'd never read a book but guessed you had never read Dracula, of which I'm clearly right, give it a shot, its a good read.

reply

Ah, I was right to quit watching after the gate scene in ep 1 then.

reply

I was looking for something more original from Moffat, to tell you the truth.

reply

Really liked the first episode way more 'Horror' than I expected, I thought it would be less gory.

reply

What is this? I've not seen a peep about it. SJW update of the novel?

reply

A BBC made 'Netflix original' and nothing SJW about it.

reply

Yeah. Sure. I suppose it must be if you say so.
