Wakanda Flop Forever
no one wants to see this...
share180 million opening weekend, how wrong were you.
shareAfter 2 weeks, it's just now starting to get into the black. They need to start making these movies on a smaller budget if they want to turn a better profit.
share561 million after 2 weeks? This will be profitable no doubt about it
shareOriginal Black Panther earned over 400 million in 4 days.
shareThats great , so why is this a flop? Its been out 2 weeks lol
sharePlease screenshot where I said it's a flop and post it here. I said it's just starting to get in the black. After 2 weeks it's just starting to turn a profit. Whereas Black Panther started turning a profit after 4 days. So, again, these movie makers need to start trimming their budgets in order to start making bigger profits because they're just not bringing it in the way they used to.
shareThe first Black Panther was a one time lightning in a bottle cultural phenomenon, and no one expects the sequel to earn an amount that even approaches what that film earned. That doesn't mean that the budget for other films in the series, or even the entire MCU franchise, ought to be lowered. The films are all making healthy profits.
Don't forget that in addition to whatever this film earns in theaters, it's also going to generate revenue for decades to come in the form of home video sales, streaming revenue, and licensing fees.
If Marvel starts lowering the budget, they are going to start turning out less impressive films, which will lead to lower profits in the long run.
The films are all making healthy profits.
The MCU films are printing money for Disney. This is what, their 30th theatrical release and they are now 30/30 when it comes to making profitable films. Share al the gifs you want, you can't change the facts.
shareThis aged terribly lol
shareAre you 15 years old or don't you understand how much a big budget movie has to make to be profitable?? It was made on a budget of $250 million and the marketing globally cost Disney another $250 million. Taking into the numbers Disney will make off Theaters here (60% to Disney) and abroad (35-40% to Disney), the movie is profitable, but not at the magnitude of the first movie, which makes it a financial disappointment. The movie is a major reason behind it's share price cratering, along with the dull Disney+ numbers.
shareYou lost.
Trump lost.
It was not a flop but it could have been better.
