Not really that great. Just hovering below avg struggling to reach avg imo

Eternals (or shall I say Diversitals) is quite a silly movie to be coming out now with all the established lore from MCU.

The cast of chars was quite ambiguous and made little sense imo. From a kid (who I thought was a boy actually for over half the movie and was wondering why he pretended to be a female teen in the bar but thought that's what it is these days and moved on) to several people who are all of diverse age/sex/ethnicity despite those cultures not being predominant or something a Celestial would even care about or know about tbh made very little sense in the movie. Why wouldn't they just create say 12 strong robots and done? Or say perhaps 12 strong apex predators for the planet like say 12 beastly Conan like men with all the powers same for all. 12 Supermans or Thanos' make most sense to me. And I'm not even a Celestial

And the bigger issue is that they have these ridiculous powers which made little sense in the context of the Deviants, whom in a reveal that everyone pretty much saw coming, they themselves created.

And now somehow these Deviants have evolved to resent that balance which also is so ridiculous imo.

I mean if you're a Celestial who needs life in enough quantity on a planet to somehow get a new Celestial to emerge because the Celestial is inexplicably buried in a planet to emerge and then seeded with life, why would you even create Deviants and Eternals? Makes very little sense as a premise itself.

I mean, you create the stars and planets and some planets now evolve life (probably due to your meddling) and besides the stupidity of how exactly "enough life" causes the emergence to appear, why would you even need Eternals and Deviants? You're already living for billions of years, what is a few thousand years?

Just wait for the Celestial to emerge and wipe the planet and done. If you're concerned about the sentient life, then just put the Celestial on a nearby planet - say Mars and explain away that the asteroid belts in the Universe are those exploded planets. Done.

The acting was subpar, the chemistry was non-existent to care about anyone. The dialogs were like a high school play created an hour before the show, the directing was banal and from a student filmmaker, the cinematography was decent. The special effects were nice.

Overall, the silliness of Thena and her memories, the people with weirdo powers that made little sense, bad plot, story and no real investment from my side on this means, this totally missed the mark.
So many plot holes from why they allowed Thanos to snap half the universe away then? Why even allow this possibility from their own created stones? To what these duds were doing all along? Where?

Everything was sub-par, unsatisfying

Final rating: 4/10
