It's sad how Hollywood movies have become so predictable

Being called The Assistant, you know there's two possible plots in modern Hollywood:

(1) A poor Woman/Black/Indian/Muslim/Hispanic assistant is abused by his evil/psychopatic white male boss.
(2) An intelligent and efficient Woman/Black/Indian/Muslim/Hispanic assistant saves the day while the stupid/useless white male boss gets the laud.

This case, it was (1) 👍

And I haven't seen the movie, but I already know that there will be some scene where the evil white male boss will sexually assault her. Because according to modern Hollywood, every white male has sexually assaulted women. That's modern Hollywood.

Go to imdb and look for "Storyline". You have there the plot described. You're welcome.

And I said, it fits what I predicted. You don't get more insightful than that. :-)

So why not go to every film you haven't seen to start a thread about it - or are you only interesting in the ones where you have the hope of getting people all fired up?

Because every title I looked in for discussion or information, there YOU were attempting to set fires with the same old negative rhetoric.

You also seem to be unable to distinguish between somebody attacking your opinions and attacking you, so fall back to the 'personal attack' retort almost every time somebody disagrees with you, which is a tell that you're aware of the harmful nature of your posts.

This movie will steal 1,5 hours of your life and leave you dumbfounded.

well, you were wrong. the movie is a depiction of the weinstein scandal from the perspective of his assistant - and no, she isn't abused by him ("she's not his type"), nor does she save the day.
