Nice family documentary, not perfect but educational without being too snowflaky

Saw the movie in the theater during a test screening. Would have taken my kids to see it if it had ever come out in the theaters but in our area it never did. The only difficult part is getting through the first 5 minutes or so where the two main character are talking about what the wanted to do... Hopefully they trimmed that part down. When we saw it the basic premise was a clueless city couple moving into a run down farm and trying to get it operational again. One word of caution for families taking really small kids, this is realistic view of farm life so animals die... if you don't want to deal with that and your kids and explaining that's the way things are then don't let them see it. Frankly at some point every kid needs to understand life and death and this is reasonable way to introduce them to it. It does almost get a bit preachy in a few spots about the environment but not so much that you want to plug your ears and scream.
