Cancelled

Cancelled after 1 season, that should be good for all you supposed non-PC types.

The problem with this here show is this wasn't a network show. Never should have been on one of the big 4. FX, TNT, whatever. That's where this belonged. This was a cable show. But I don't know if cable shows make money anymore with all the streaming wars going on.

reply

the problem is that it tried shoving BS progressive & liberal ideas down the throat of its audience & was incredibly clunky & awkward in its execution

reply

I don't think that was the problem. Well maybe it was. I personally love that shows evolve and reflect the times. But the audience this was going for, they don't like that shit. In this respect, given the setting of LA, I thought it was very believable. It would have been a fable to pretend it was still macho man city.

reply

The way it dealt with a manly man dealing with changing culture I thought was very well handled.

i respect your POV but it already lost me in the 1st episode when the Deputy was grandstanding while being deposed or during some kind of inquiry...
then he raced to a scheduled ICE raid & shut it down because "those innocent illegals don't deserve this,"
meanwhile there had already been dozens of ICE agents, vehicles, resources, finances devoted to that raid....he just up and cancels it at the last absolute second to prove some point

This show had 4,7 million viewers on E1 and dropped to 3,2 milion by E4. That is way too few for a show to sustainable.
