wat proof is it that jules is trans?

IT WAS NEVER MENTIONED

reply

None. Zip. Zoopher. Bupkis. Nada. Squat. All the scenes in Jules’ back story show her as A GIRL. Period. End of story. Over and out.

reply

about 11 inches

reply

you can see her tiny lil dick when shes laying in bed

I'm only 4 EPs into this, so haven't seen all that have aired, but I do watch with subtitles on and noticed this:

In EP #3 (I think it was), she tries to tell Rue and actually gets the world "TRAN" out of her mouth before Rue (who is self-obsessed and doesn't notice) continues talking. It happens in a scene in Jules' bedroom. You see the word on the screen if you have subtitles on -- she tries to get it out. I think the line is "Is it because I'm TRAN ..." (then Rue interrupts) or something like that.

Also, if you used your GD search engine, you'll find that the actress (Hunter Schafer, who is trans) had discussed the portrayal / development of the Jules character in depth with show creator / writer Sam Levinson.

It's fascinating to watch unfold.

You can see the dong at the end of episode one. I am surprised Rue hasn't felt it rubbing up against her.

reply

Well shut my mouth.

But if the person is truly cosmetically transsexual (because we can’t replace chromosomes yet, we can only alter hormones), what’s a penis doing there? Are we still pre-operation? Then that’s not really cosmetically transsexual, is it? More like a Stage 3 drag queen.

reply

Nobody has seen a penis yet. In EP 1, all we see is something hard and flat under her panties, looking to me to be obscuring what is beneath (at first, I thought it might be a merkin).

This show is releasing details very gradually. I'm one EP short of caught-up, but I still haven't seen the flashbacks of Jules' life between being committed as a younger child and current-day high-school. We don't know if she's pre or post op (unless it was revealed in this last EP). Her dad seems very supporting, but there's been very little actual dialog that way.

This show is brave, very brave, but they're also pulling punches in some areas — they might not want to go to the areas of a post-op minor, because there's a huge contingent of evangelicals that screaming mad at under-age physical changes that they are seeing (or believe they're seeing) in real life.

reply

What a pleasure to meet someone who knows what a merkin is. Candidly, I agree that we have not in fact seen Jules’ jewels, one overheated post here notwithstanding; but I understand that the person playing Jules is transgender. All along I’ve been wondering why Dominant Daddy would have sex with a woman in his role as Dominant Daddy. Jules’ polymorphous sex status would explain that. I agree that Euphoria IS courageous, and also understandably prudent, in its narrative. If someone described this show to me, I would never watch it. I am glad that I discovered it on my own, because the story—and not whatever social agenda it may have—has been fascinating, and often very funny, so far.

God you people are dense. SRS is a meme and can have serious complications. Therfore not that much transwoman go for it.

reply

Yes it was. In Jules’ backstory. Rue mentions Jules transitioning too. Plus the actress is Trans.

reply

Jules was injecting something in the first episode, and had been doing it for a while. It was intramuscular, so could be hormones.

reply

Seeing her hormone injections right near the beginning was a good indication.....

reply

and her dick in her panties was too

reply

What dick? Show us a screenshot of the dick, or fuck off.

reply

u suck off

reply

It wasn't mentioned but you can clearly see several times there is something in her panties. First episode for example when Rue and Jules go to bed. You see it several times (I also think Rue looks at it when Jules is laying down but doesn't seem to care). It's even more obvious when the camera hovers above the. You can see the outlines. It's clearly done to let the viewers know.
And it's clearly no merkin... :)
