Movie poster annoys the piss out of me

Something about it just makes me want to tear it off the wall.

You don't like women?

reply

Yep that's it..they should be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen making me a sandwich.

Thanks for assuming dumbass.

reply

Lol, it was a joke. I knew you would take it the wrong way. Too funny.

reply

His reaction was...a bit...obvious you would say?

I thought it was a dude.

At least until I just now saw the full poster, where it's clear it's a female.

Says you. I like it when people are annoyed by such innocuous things. It's funny.

Maybe it was meant to annoy certain people, just like the intent of the movie I suppose.

This guy makes me laugh. All this vitriol about a poster. Too funny.

>Why show only half the woman's face?

I think to make the image a bit more mysterious (withholding reveal of her whole face).

The way the whole picture of what's happening at the festival isn't revealed to the main characters until the very end of the film.

reply

I was wondering about the half face on this poster. I notice they show the left hand side of the woman's face. They reckon it's the left side of a person's face that reveals that person's emotion. So I reckon the reason could be that we can focus on the woman's grief and terror by the poster depicting her the way they've done here. This poster does beat the poster with her full face with blood running down the left side of her face.

reply

Maybe they put the negative upside down and it's actually the right side!! 😜

Still annoys the piss out of me I want to burn it.

To me, it looks like she's either passing a kidney stone or stepping on a LEGO.

reply

OMG. Just by reading "stepping on a LEGO" I can recall this feeling after decades. Really unpleasant.

reply

I don't like it, either. It turned me completely off to the movie. I think it's that close-up grimace.

reply

Awful indeed

reply

The poster makes me think of The Gods Must Be Crazy. She reminds me of the tribesman.
