This movie is awful and you know it.

Stop pretending to “get it” and just admit it fell below your expectations. Anything to the contrary is a simple lie and you’re delusional.

reply

I admit I know it.

reply

I disagree. I thought it was pretty good.

reply

Then you’re clearly delusional and easily impressed. Neither are good traits.

reply

Ridiculous. Liking a movie doesn't make me delusional. Your opinion isn't the only right one. Opinions about film are subjective.

reply

My wife and brother are fine with it. I hated it.

reply

A really good cast but either the script didn't work or the director. I might have been both to make this a flop.

reply

Yep, thank you. Had a lot of good potential but the movie was so meta trying not to take itself seriously... they tried too hard to make it seem like they didn’t care

reply

I think it was quite good. Sure there were some elements that seemed a little stunted but the acting was pretty solid. There was some nice camera work and it thought the screenplay was quite good.
I especially loved the soundtrack. It was spot on and brought a special to the scenes.

reply

It was a bad movie, period. The acting was trash and too meta. The soundtrack was the same song like 10 times throughout the movie.

reply

It wasn't the best movie I have seen this year but it definitely wasn't the worst either.
There were quite a few good scenes. Bill Murray and Adam Driver really felt at home in their roles and I have to say it was funnier than I expected. Murray was the perfect choice for the leading man and I have to say he harmonized well with Driver.
There are plenty of better movies out there, there are better zombie movies out there but I thought it was a charming take on the zombie genre and considering the casting, directing choices and screenplay it was quite nice. The story wasn't boring, it often had some one-liners in the right places and I thought all in all the movie was quite entertaining.

reply

You're right, it's horrible! I couldn't watch more than 30 minutes of it. It is so boring! There is nothing funny, scary or otherwise entertaining about it. It has a great cast but they had nothing to work with! What a disappointment.

reply

I can't say I loved it, but I liked the scenes with Bill Murray and Adam Driver. The characters were good together. Great chemistry. Everything else was pretty unimpressive, especially the kids in that halfway house or whatever it was. That had no purpose in this movie at all.

reply

"IT FELL BELOW MY EXPECTATIONS" & "THIS MOVIE IS AWFUL" ARE VERY DIFFERENT.YES IT FELL BELOW MY EXPECTATIONS.I STILL ENJOYED IT.NOT AWFUL,JUST NOT PERFECT.

reply

My eyes, my ears!!

AIM ELSEWHERE.

I've always been a Jim Jarmusch fan and have liked most of his stuff, but hard pass on this one. I'm sure the "get it" crowd will get it and that's fine. This thing bored the heck out of me.

reply

Where does this one rank? My favorite Jarmusch films are Dead man, Broken Flowers, Only Lovers left alive, Patterson. He's really hit or miss and this one I only heard about watching a youtube movie review channel in passing (though I think I recall hearing about a zombie movie and eye rolled to myself). Welcome to the basement said it was a mess. Seems like it might not even be worth watching.
