Is this film really award worthy

Before I start I enjoyed the film, but every Award season you get a film that just gets a ton of award buzz that sometimes boggles the mind. I think The Farewell is that film of 2020 award season. Nothing about it is award worthy imo. A solid comedy/drama at the very least.

Anyone agree or anyone actually believe this deserves all the awards it's getting?

I just saw it recently. It's reasonably well acted and has good intentions. I wasn't really interested that much though.

I enjoyed it very much, and it deserved any awards it received imho. Note: I was in China and Japan in 2018, possibly close to the time it was being filmed. The closest I got to Changchung, however, was Beijing.
