I thought these were neat easter eggs

The pharmacist's name is Kathy Bates. (Just like the actress in Misery)

When the MC calls information, the operator gives Derry, Maine as an optional town. Derry/Maine is featured in Stephen King stories.

One of the characters mentioned at the end is named Annie, just like the character Annie Wilkes in Misery.

The “mom torturing daughter” aspect reminds me of Carrie, especially the scene in the basement.

I just got the Mrs. Bates and didn’t put it together. I did wonder why the operator voice said Maine when she was on the west coast.

Before I read her first name was Kathy, I thought Mrs. Bates was a reference to Psycho/Bates Motel.
