Dark Angel-ish

(what I'm talking about is seen from the get go, so it's not a spoiler.)

Manyeo (or The Witch : Part 1. The Subversion) really reminded me of that great series by James Cameron, 21 years ago: Dark Angel with Jessica Alba (and Jensen Ackles in season 2) about genetically enhanced kids that escaped from Manticore, the military facility that created them.

I know that comparing a series and a movie is like apple and oranges but since the premise is the same for both, I really enjoyed noticing the similarities AND the differences between the two.

If you liked Dark Angel, I think you'll appreciate Manyeo. The action scenes are more violent. It's bit more serious/dramatic too. So, darker than Dark Angel. And it's not a bad thing.
