El Cuco as Colton

Did El Cuco/Coltan scratch the big guy in festival when he was attempting to kidnap boy?

reply

They didn't show or mention anything about that (yet), but I also kinda think El Cuco has to be fully transformed first.

Maybe I am mistaken, but I am just going by the previous times we saw him scratch somebody - he looked like a normal person, not in any way deformed. In fact I think those scratches took place already after he ate a child.

reply

I don't think he did, no

reply

Maybe, but it doesn't really matter because it won't fit in the story timeline. It needs around three weeks to change. Just two episodes left, and they're building for the climax final battle scene. I'm expecting a battle with the puppet cop shooter in the next scene, with the battle with IT Part 3 in the final episode.

reply

Oh man, that sounds horrible...this whole series was one big failure...

Started off too strong....went from 100 to 0

reply

Well, that's quite a bit of an overstatement - I mean, zero, really? No redeeming qualities whatsoever?.. 🙄

I'd say it went down from 100 to around 70, although tonight's episode was quite good, I'd give it an 80-85.

reply

Very odd range. I'd say the series is very good, but yes, it has dragged out too far. I also just finished the book. Could have been 6 great episodes, maybe even 5, with much tighter pacing.

reply

I agree, but I noticed that it said that next week is the "season" finale. not the "series" finale. do they plan on dragging this out for another season?

reply

Nope. As others noted, would not factor in unless it survives. Makes me wonder if it selects victims that are about its same size and shape. I mean, scratching a 6'10" black man might be a stretch (pun intended). Or a really short fat guy, etc. With 6 billion people on the planet, finding a good fit cannot be all that tough.

reply

I thought he scratched Father Christmas but apparently he scratched Holly near the end and I didn't notice that, so...

reply

LOL "Father Christmas" says "Not that I know of" as to scratching. Plus Coco/Cuko (keeps changing names as well as shapes) only scratches the one to whom he wants to transform.

i didn't notice Holly's scratch either, plus she checks the back of her neck, but there's not enough light to tell. Her relieved reaction there says "no scratch."
