Honest Question: Are Refugee Crises Ever Solvable?

Thought-provoking film wrapped in some very good jump scares. Made me consider all the refugee crises of the past decade. There will always be countries where things are so dangerous that people are forced to flee, but what happens when those refugees arrive in other countries? Some are eager to adjust, others can’t, and some resent the whole concept. The best solution, of course, is to make countries stable enough that people don’t have to flee. To do that, you’d have to have a UN Peacekeeping Force with real military teeth that could deploy in short order. But then you run the risk of trampling on a country’s sovereignty in the name of peacekeeping. There’s no easy answer, but I always appreciate a film that makes you think.

For me, the scariest scene in the whole film was when Bol and Rial were hiding on the rooftop and below them you can see the mob walking down the street. A lone man comes stumbling behind the mob and you realize he's on fire. No dramatic music, just straight up terrifying. Like a real life Purge.

Food in Films: I’m with Rial—sometimes food just tastes better when you eat it with your hands.
