On first watch...

I liked it. I’m not a theater man and usually avoid but I begrudgingly admit that this was very well done and watching with my daughters we all agreed. Wow these people managed to pull this off so effortlessly.

I’m not from the USA so maybe I’m not exposed to this type of genre as much as you folk but this seems like a show I would love to see live.

The negative

It’s super long and then there was an intermission and we had to come back to it the next day as we all felt a bit drained knowing we only half way.
Not knowing USA history too in depth I also didn’t care much for the story or historical aspect as much but that’s my own problem.

The cast were the highlight for me and probably the production crew behind the scenes too. Everything was fluid and done so skillfully. I would recommend it to anyone from an artistic point of view. 6/10

Yeah, it was a bloody good show. The music wasn't in my favorite style but the cast made it all work, the choreography and staging were energetic and tight, the performances were excellent, and it never dragged.

Now I still think that the NYC theater people went nuts over it for all the wrong reasons (mainly because it made them feel cool), but that doesn't mean it isn't a damn good show! Disney+ is definitely proving to be worth $6 a month.
