Tried to be too cute...

SPOILER ALERT:

The producers of the movie said they were looking for a re imaging of the Godzilla franchise - well IMO it didn't work. The movie was basically a soap opera with a cameo appearance from Godzilla, Ghidorah and Mothra. I tolerated the slow burn of the first two movies with the expectation that it will all come together with a climatic battle between the two titans - it never happened, the majority of the so called battle basically consisted of Godzilla just standing there, I'm not kidding. The main hero's goal was to take back the planet and ultimately kill Godzilla, let's just say his goals went up in flames, just like this series.
